Jandoli School faculty members Anne and Dr. Richard Lee, lecturer and professor, respectively, represented the university at the inaugural State University of New York Institute for Local News Summit at SUNY Oneonta, April 10-11.

Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of Communication, presented a pair of programs for the American Battlefield Trust in Boston, Massachusetts, in early May. The talks were part of America 250, an ongoing celebration and commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence that runs through July 4, 2026.

51���� students are once again working with PolitiFact Chief Correspondent Louis Jacobson and Jandoli Institute Executive Director Richard Lee to check facts and write articles for PolitiFact.

Dr. Kimberly DeSimone’s manuscript “Adam as the First Failed Leader: A Feminist-Epistemological Reframing of Genesis Through Leadership Theory” has been accepted for presentation at the Academy of Business Research Conference in Marathon, Florida, Oct. 29–31.

On April 2, Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor and associate dean of undergraduate programs in the Jandoli School of Communication, moderated a program at the Gettysburg Film Festival.

New Jersey is the only state in the nation that has never had a state song. Dr. Rich Lee, a professor at 51����, wants to change that.

Celebrating the impact its graduates make on the world of sports media, 51����’s Jandoli School of Communication will honor two of its alumni shaping the intersections of sports, journalism, and public relations at a trio of on-campus events.

51���� will celebrate the achievements of its Class of 2026 with two commencement ceremonies in Reilly Center Arena, highlighted by student speakers whose stories reflect leadership, resilience and community impact.
