A new hardcover book co-edited by Chris Mackowski, professor of journalism and mass communication at 51����, examines the 11-month struggle between Union General Ulysses S. Grant and Confederate General Robert E. Lee that was the beginning of the end of the American Civil War.

Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of journalism and mass communication, spent five days this month co-hosting a video project for the American Battlefield Trust (ABT), the nation’s largest battlefield preservation organization.

51���� will welcome Mark Sickles, an accomplished corporate leader, board director and management consultant, to campus as the second Lenna Visiting Professor of the spring semester.

Dr. Jeff Gingerich, provost and senior vice president of Academic Affairs at the University of Scranton, has been named the 22nd president of 51����.
